FAQs
What is Card Grading
Card grading is the process of having a third-party professional evaluate the condition of your card and assign it a score (usually on a 1–10 scale). Higher grades mean higher value and better long-term protection. We're proud to partner with Beckett Grading Services (BGS)— one of the most trusted names in the game.
What types of cards can I submit for grading?
You can submit Pokémon, baseball, or any other trading cards as long as their estimated value is under $199 USD per card. We submit cards under Beckett’s Base Tier (no subgrades) for simplicity and affordability.
Do I have to pull a card during a live stream to use this service?
Not at all! You’re welcome to send in cards from your personal collection anytime. If you do pull a hit during one of our streams, you can choose to grade it right then and there — and we’ll handle the rest.
When will my card be sent to Beckett, and how long does grading take?
We submit cards once a month to Beckett Grading Services (BGS). Their estimated turnaround time for the Base Tier is 45+ business days. Once the cards are returned to us, we’ll contact you to arrange shipping or pickup.
How does shipping work for grading submissions?
You are responsible for shipping your cards to Hoov’s Hangout if you're not submitting a card pulled during a live stream. Once grading is complete and the cards return from Beckett, we’ll reach out to coordinate return shipping. You can choose from several options including tracked shipping, express delivery, or local pickup. Please note: shipping costs to and from Hoov’s Hangout are not included in the grading service fee.
